Advocate Trauma Recovery Center:  Comprehensive Services for Survivors of Violence

The Advocate Trauma Recovery Center is a health care-based violence intervention program that provides quality services and resources for survivors of intentional trauma with compassion, respect and care. Our purpose is to aid individuals who have experienced trauma rebuild, restore and strengthen their sense of safety by ending the cycle of violence.

We provide access to trauma-informed care by acknowledging how past and present traumatic experiences and stress may impact the individuals and families we are serving. Our team is specially trained to support the unique needs of survivors and their families to foster hope for a better future.

Services Available:

  • Outpatient Clinical Assessments
  • Case Management
  • Individual and Group Therapy
  • Medication Management
  • Support Groups
  • Safety and Self-Care Guidance

Services Available for:

  • Victims of intentional trauma ages 4 and older
  • Cook, Will, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Kankakee, McHenry, and Lake County
  • Residents in the State of Illinois

Advocate Trauma Recovery Center:  Comprehensive Services for Survivors of Intentional Crime

The Advocate Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) is a healthcare-based Violence Intervention program that provides short-term services to survivors of intentional crime.

TRC services include:

  • Individual Therapy
  • Support Group
  • Group Therapy
  • Social Services and Intensive Case Management
  • Medication Management

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Cook, Kankakee, Kendall, Kane, DuPage, Will, Lake and McHenry County Resident
  • Age 4 and older
  • Victim/Survivor of an intentional crime (brief list below) within the past three years or homicide of an immediate family member (no time limit)
  • Guns Shot
  • Stabbing
  • Physical Assault
  • Sexual Assault
  • Robbery/Burglary
  • Domestic Violence
  • Hit and Run Accident
  • Elder Abuse
  • Hate Crime
  • Stalking and Harassment
  • Human Trafficking
